Treatment of Anxiety Disorders

Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) are just a few of the anxiety disorders that can negatively impact our lives. We are often afflicted with intrusive worrisome thoughts that impact our day.

Dr. Napawan uses evidenced-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) while folding in evolutionary-based concepts to address your anxiety disorder. Additionally, Dr. Napawan received specialized training in Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) from Roger’s Behavioral Health to treat symptoms of OCD. She works with both children and adults.

Neuropsychological Assessment

Dr. Napawan uses an integrative and collaborative approach in providing Neuropsychological Assessments which includes the use of an in-depth clinical interview with the client and significant collaterals (such as caregivers, teachers, and partners), observations (often with children in the school setting), standardized measures, and projective tests. Areas of experience that Dr. Napawan assesses are learning challenges, symptoms of executive functioning, symptoms of ADHD, social challenges and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder, and social-emotional issues including anxiety and depression.

Educational Support and Navigating Schools

Dr. Napawan provides support services in the school setting for preschool and school-aged children when children experience challenges at school.  These challenges may include behavioral concerns, or emotional dysregulation.

Dr. Napawan builds a collaborative working relationship with your child's teacher and school administrators to provide effective consultation support to address your child's needs. She can actively participate in your child's Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
